Deborah Herman, Fabric Industry Icon Passes

 

CORAL GABLES, FL–Deborah Herman founder and owner of Fabric Innovations, Inc., here died from the effects of cancer on or about Monday, March 17.
She was the founder of Fabric Innovations in 1997 as a supplier of  bedding, drapery and upholstery fabrics to the hospitality and cruise ship trade with headquarters in New York. She was also the third generation family member in the hospitality fabric business. 
Herman formed a partnership with Covington Fabrics, a leading fabric converter beginning in October, 2024 after she built Fabric Innovations into a well-known hospitality brand.
At that time, Covington President & CEO Greg Tarver said: “Deborah is an industry icon in the hospitality segment that I witnessed first-hand.”
Her life will be celebrated on March 24 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Coconut Grove, Florida.
