Warwick Fabrics Enjoys Strong Domestic Australian MarketMelbourne, Australia–”Heimtex 2026 was a great show for us,” says Cameron Warwick, MD of Warwick Fabrics.“It’s a show for the mass market which is where we are focused,” he says.“We noticed there was a new bottom in Chinese made goods at $1.50 a meter. That’s way below what we buy since we’re in the mid $3 to mid $5 range,” he points out. Warwick says the reason why the Chinese commodity prices have come down is due to the slowdown in buying Chinese goods in the USA as a result of the US tariffs. “The Chinese mills, including our key suppliers, are hungrier than ever for business anywhere they can get it to make up for the lost business in the USA,”he adds.“We placed orders with our key suppliers for long running fabrics in our line.”Warwick says his business is north of five percent ahead of 2025. “We recognize the industry overall has its head down trying to do business but in Australia, the market is good for us.”
