Anju Woodridge Founder Irwin Ginsburg, 94

BOCA RATON, FL–Irwin Ginsburg, founder of Anju Fabrics in 1978 died here March 23, 2026 at the age of 94 after a long illness.
Eddie Gargiulo and Marty Zeiler, Irwin’s junior partners in Anju died several years ago. The three of them bought Weavers, a Chicago converter of furniture fabrics in 1980 and changed the corporate name to Anju Woodridge.
Irwin and Marty were previously salesmen with another converter before the start of Anju. Irwin is survived by two daughters and Phyllis, his second wife.
Ginsburg sold Anju to P/Kaufmann in 1999 but he retained a design studio under the umbrella of P/Kaufmann. Irwin ran the studio and was still designing high end fabrics for Fabricut.
“Irwin was a terrific person, a very special kind of guy. We enjoyed him first as a sensational supplier and then as a team member, running our studio in New York,” says David Finer, Fabricut President.
“Irwin had a tremendous ability for design, particularly cotton prints,” says Mark Garber,  who was the midwest salesman for Anju Woodridge from 1981-1999. Irwin was a larger than life businessman. His eye created  drapery goods, solids, embroideries with an upper end look at attractive prices, ” Garber recalls. “Irwin was a generous guy, well respected in the industry. He took pleasure in my success and that was so unusual and special.”
