SAINT-GEORGES, Quebec – In yet another sign of a global consolidation of the textile industry, family-owned Victor, a textile company operating in Canada and the U.S., has announced its acquisition of the Craftex brand from the secured creditor of Pennsylvania-based Craftex Mills.

In this purchase, Victor has retained the company's diverse catalog which features an extensive collection of designs which will be offered by Victor.

"This acquisition creates a more diverse product offering for Victor, and offers stability for customers of the Craftex brand during a challenging economic time for the entire textile industry," said Paul Bennotti, Director of Marketing for Victor. "The Craftex brand is going to give Victor broader exposure in both the contract and residential markets and deepens our product offering." "The Craftex brand is well known and commands great respect across the entire industry," Bennotti continued. "Over the past 100 years, the Craftex brand has come to represent quality, innovation, value and service. Victor has built its reputation on these same qualities so I am confident that Victor will be able to provide customers of the Craftex brand the same quality service and products that they have come to expect."

Craftex is one of North America's oldest textile brands and it is Victor's intention to maintain its longstanding brand reputation for quality.
