Valley Forge Velvets Feature Crypton's 'In Case'

March 19, 2009

POMPANO BEACH, Florida – Valley Forge Fabrics Inc. is introducing the largest hospitality textile program to feature Crypton® InCase ™ fabric protection technology, according to Dan Dobin, president of Valley Forge Fabrics, Inc.

The new lines will first be officially shown at the HD trade fair in Las Vegas in May. The 120 sku program covers three volumes of Valley Forge product. The "Volumes of Velvet" collection is designed by Jonathan Adler, the iconic celebrity designer based in New York who sells his designs through his own retail store chain.

"This velvet collection is very unique because velvet for hospitality project application needs to meet a certain budget," said Dobin. "Previously, the velvets offered were always too expensive or did not meet the wearability requirements for hospitality. These fabrics break that mold and the InCase finish is an added bonus of stain and microbial repellency powered by Crypton which is desirable in the hotel environment."

While Dobin said that InCase can be applied to any type of textile product, Valley Forge chose to use it initially for "this very important fabric collection."

"Other product offerings are planned for the future by Valley Forge utilizing the InCase Technology," he said. Dobin is a 30-plus-year veteran of the hospitality fabrics industry. Valley Forge is also the largest supplier of decorative textile product to the hospitality industry worldwide with sales in excess of $100 million annually.

Randy Rubin, marketing director of Crypton said that InCase is a certified Cradle to Cradle product by SCS and MBDC testing laboratories which measure off gases and chemical formulas.
