Thibaut Announces Whimsical New Fabric and Wallpaper

December 15, 2009

NEWARK, New Jersey - Thibaut has launched the Gatehouse Collection, an English garden-inspired line of fabrics and wallpaper with a touch of whimsy.

There are seven woven fabrics, five printed, and 11 wallpaper patterns all boasting vibrantly playful hues like raspberry, fern, lemon yellow and purple haze.

The woven fabrics have a certain rustic country flair with plaid, dots, stripes, sunbursts and a pomegranate pattern while the printed fabrics focus on flora and fauna, covered with birds, butterflies, blossoms and vines. Some of the highlights of the collection include the shimmering Julie Damask which has a Scandinavian touch and weathered texturing, as well as Barrowgate, a stylized trellis design. Brookfield is taken from botanical drawings and features a burnished metallic sheen while Owensboro is marked by a sweeping fleur de Lis motif.

Thibaut was founded in 1886 by Richard E. Thibaut, making it the oldest continually operating wallpaper company in the US.
