Pezka, Godwin Join Stout Brothers

November 30, -0001

COLMAR, Pennsylvania-Stout Brothers Co. Inc. has hired Karen Pezka and Barbara Godwin as product designers reporting directly to and working with Mark Rickers, senior chief executive.

Pezka was previously designing fabric for Doblin Mills in 1991-1997 and most recently was an independent color consultant before joining Stout Bros.

"Pezka will be a major contributor to our high-end line 'Art of Color' introduced 10 years ago," Rickers said. Godwin was formerly involved with Calico Corners, the fabric retailer based in Kennett Square, PA. In her new post, she will be responsible for designing the trim, multipurpose and drapery collections. Stout has recently introduced two new books covering 118 inch sheer drapery fabrics, Rickers confirmed.

Rickers also confirmed that these appointments are in part an effort to continue the legacy of the late Arthur Breziner, a well-known fabric designer and merchandising executive who joined Stout after a long career at The Robert Allen Group. Breziner helped establish the new course of action for Stout as it entered the upper-end price levels of fabric jobbing.
