Los Angeles – Oscar Reig Plaza has joined Morgan Fabrics as a sales executive in November.
Morgan President Steven Gittelson says the company has been expanding in the last year into Europe and South America.
Reig Plaza previously worked for seven months at SAMI Textiles as executive vice president of sales. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at Covington Fabrics & Design, and was the vice president of sales, western region, based in Dallas, Texas.
Morgan Fabrics is a global supplier to manufacturers and fabricators of home furnishings, bedding, design professionals, recreational vehicle manufacturers, specialty products producers, and the hospitality industry. The company offers a diversified selection of woven constructions in natural fibers, in addition to rayon and acrylic chenille, microfiber performance fabrics, woven and knitted velvet, silk, leather, and prints.
Established in 1956 by Arnie Gittelson, Morgan quickly grew from a small California-based jobber supplying local manufacturers and designers to a fabric converter with a growing national customer base. After opening customer service offices and distribution centers on the East Coast, Morgan opened its international trading company in China. Morgan Shanghai is home to regional customer service and sales support for the expanding Asian market. The Shanghai office has two showrooms.
