BARCELONA, Spain - Kettal has announced the inclusion of two new fabrics designed by Patricia Urquiola in their 2010 catalogue, Paddock Brown and Kernel Brown, complementing the other four fabrics in the muted, contemporary collection.

Spanish-born, Milan-based architect Urquiola is famous for her design of clean-lined furniture and accessories from brands like Alessi, Foscarini, B&B Italia and Knoll. She recently completed the interior design for the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona.

Made from an exclusive PVC-acrylic blend, the new Kettal fabrics are part of the Kernel and Paddock ranges, combining the performance advantages of Porotex with the soft supple feel of chenille. The six different designs have an understated elegance ranging in hues from reds and greys to blacks, whites, browns and beiges while also being completely resistant to the outdoor elements.
