Jörg Hellwig Named New Managing Director at Trevira GmbH

FRANKFURT, Germany —Jörg Hellwig will join Trevira GmbH as Managing Director on July 1. He will take over the duties of Bernd Sassenrath, CEO, who will retire after 38 years, later this year.
Jörg Hellwig has recently been responsible for redirecting global fiber activities in the Corporate Center of Lanxess AG, Leverkusen. Since January 2003 Hellwig has been Managing Director of Bayer Faser GmbH. Hellwig has been with Bayer und Lanxess since 1981.
"I am looking forward to my new work and over the coming months will be making intensive preparations to take over the duties of Bernd Sassenrath," said Hellwig.
Trevira, a company of Reliance Group, India, is Europe's leading manufacturer of branded textile polyester fibres and filament yarns. Production operations are located in Belgium, Denmark and Germany.
Trevira's sales reached 318 million euros in 2004. The company has 1,900 employees.
