FRANKFURT, Germany —Jörg Hellwig will become Chief Executive Officer of Trevira GmbH and the Trevira Group on September 1.

He previously served as Managing Director -- a position he assumed on July 1. He succeeds Bernd Sassenrath, Chief Executive Officer, who will retire after 38 years on December 31. Sassenrath will stay on as Managing Director to accelerate the integration of R&D activities of Trevira and Reliance.
