UPPER SADDLE RIVER, New Jersey – Hunter Douglas, a leading manufacturer of architectural products and window coverings, announced today that it has acquired developer of motor controls for window coverings company, Electronic Solutions Inc. (ESI).

ESI will still operate as its own distinct company, under unchanged management. ESI, headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, makes controls that incorporate software capable of operating any window covering motor.

According to Mary Hopkins, president and CEO of Hunter Douglas Inc., the acquisition of ESI will accelerate their company's expansion in the market for motorized window coverings.
