Hendrikx Named MD

November 30, -0001

BREE, Belgium -- Swinkels Textiles N.V. has appointed Jose Hendrikx as managing director.

She has spent seven years in the textile industry prior to joining Swinkels and was most recently with Arte, the textile and wallcovering producer based in Holland.

Hendrikx replaces Marius Van Wheel who has retired.

In other news, Swinkels has moved its headquarters to Bree, Belgium in April of this year from Tilburg, Holland. Belgium has always been the location of the Swinkels print plant so moving the corporate offices to the same location as the factory made a lot of sense to Hendrikx, who spearheaded the move to one location.

The move is expected to save Swinkels time and money. "We also expect to focus our efforts on producing more technically advanced print fabrics,'' Hendrikx said.

She also expects to begin selling to the U.S. market next year and has already been involved in the markets of China and Russia. She worked at Decosit this year on behalf of Swinkels for the first time.

"We see new markets for Swinkels prints. We expect to introduce more expensive looking prints at very attractive prices to the customer in the future."

The current Swinkels line is $4.25-9.5 Euros per meter. The line includes double velvet and flat woven prints as well as a line of flame retardant fabrics.
