Hanes Fabric Company Names President and Vice President

CONOVER, North Carolina — Previous vice president of Hanes Industries, Rod Poole, has been named president of Hanes Fabrics Company.

Poole, the 18-year textile industry veteran, has been with the company for six years. In addition to Hanes Fabrics, he will work on new market development for Hanes Dye and Finishing.

At the same time, Tony Spencer has also been named vice president of Hanes Fabrics; he will be reporting to Poole. Spencer, a 28-year veteran with Hanes was previously marketing manager for specialty product development and new market initiatives. His new responsibilities include all marketing and product management at Hanes Fabrics.

Hanes Fabrics Company is a converter and distributor of drapery lining and home textile products for the residential and hospitality markets. Sister company Hanes Dye and Finishing Company has provided a wide range of commission dyeing and finishing services since 1924.

The company's Mt. Hope Plant in Butner, North Carolina is a leading producer of blackout fabric for the hospitality industry worldwide.
