August 12, 2009

GLEN RAVEN, North Carolina - Glen Raven, Inc., a global provider of innovative fabric-based solutions with operations in North America, Europe and Asia, has earned an internationally recognized environmental certification - International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004, for its Anderson, S.C. plant.

The certification covers the plant's environmental procedures, processes and planning activities, as well as continual improvement programs in environmental management. The process involved all Glen Raven associates in Anderson who are trained in environmental standards and procedures.

''ISO 14001 certification demonstrates our long-term commitment to providing exceptional products and services while recognizing the environmental responsibilities of our operation,'' said facility manager, Jack Woodson.

Switzerland-based ISO, the world's largest developer and publisher of international standards, is best known for its ISO-9001 standards for quality processes, another Anderson plant achievement.

Glen Ravenï¿Â½s one million square foot Anderson facility previously incorporated a 20-year recycling program that culminated in the elimination of all waste going to landfills during 2008.
