Glen Raven Launches Recycling Program for Sunbrella

GLEN RAVEN, North Carolina – Glen Raven's leading outdoor fabric brand, Sunbrella®, now has its own recycling program which allows users to return Sunbrella fabrics to Glen Raven for reuse in products like felt for car insulation, decorative outdoor rugs and protective padding for sports equipment.
Under the new program, called "Recycle My Sunbrella," Glen Raven has promised to recycle all packaging materials such as cardboard boxes or pallets that are affiliated with sending the used fabrics to the company. Interested parties can view all details of the program on the website created for the program: recyclemysunbrella.com.
"For more than 20 years, Glen Raven has reclaimed Sunbrella fiber and fabric waste resulting from the manufacturing process, but this is the first time we have offered recycling to our customers and consumers," said Randy Blackston, vice president of operations. "This program is part of our decades-long commitment to environmental stewardship." Blackston also stated that the company will accept any pre-consumer or post-consumer Sunbrella fabric including upholstery, awning covers and boat covers.
Glen Raven will be funding all administrative and processing costs association with the recycling program, but customers must pay to ship the products to the Anderson, S.C. recycling center.
