Fabric Producer STI Makes Promotions, Creates New Position

KINGS MOUNTAIN, North Carolina -- Sean D. Gibbons was recently named as CEO of STI, a new position for the company. He will continue to lead the company's national sales team and direct new business development, as well as attend to his new responsibilities as CEO.
R. John Kay was also promoted to the position of president, succeeding Jim Brown II. Brown is retiring after 21 years with STI.
Mark C. Hovis, former v.p. of operations was promoted to chief operating officer. Greg S. Sellers will see a broadening of his managment responsibilities, but will remain as chief financial officer due to his extensive background in finances and accounting.
And finally, Glen Read of Glen Read Designs in CA has been named to the post of design director. Read has a great deal of experience in home furnishing, textile design and merchandising.
