Fabric Co's Release Designer Products, Green and More

HIGH POINT, North Carolina – The International Textile Market Association (ITMA) hosted its semi-annual fabric market, Showtime, from June 3 – 6 this week. Here are some highlights from companies that attended.

TULSA, Oklahoma – S. Harris & Co., owned by Fabricut, has introduced a new line of high-end home furnishings forged by Isaac Mizrahi. Mizrahi is most popular for his collections offered at Target retail stores. The line is also being showed at the Tulsa S. Harris showroom.

VALDESE, North Carolina – Manufacturer of textile products, Valdese Weavers, has announced the introduction of a velvet product which they have titled "Gibson." The product will be offered through their international product division called Valdese International Products.

LOS ANGELES, California – Formerly distributors of fabric for apparel, Sorrento Fabrics had their first showing as a distributor of fabrics for window covering at Showtime. The booth featured their solid taffeta, embroidered taffeta and linen for drapery, light upholstery and table cloth.

FALL RIVER, Massachusetts – Quaker Fabrics, which began in 1945 as a small family-owned fabric mill, introduced a line of products called "Replay" to their customers. Replay was created for today's environmentally friendly needs; made with 100 percent recycled polyester yarn.

HUDSON, North Carolina – Arcona Leather Technologies showed their product for the first time under their new ownership. The American Leather Finishing factory has a 90,000-square-foot facility in Hickory and has been in business for over 15 years.
