Enzo degli Angiuoni Launches Outdoor Fabric Collection

March 25, 2009

MILAN, Italy – Enzo degli Angiuoni has introduced its first 'Green Outdoor Collection' of fabrics designed to meet all weather conditions.

The announcement was made to existing customers through a mailed brochure which presented one small fabric swatch in a sealed plastic packet of water which acted as a book jacket for the brochure inside. The actual collection will be shown at company headquarters during Proposte.

The collection features Ten Stars Yarn® and Water Shield® finish which Stefano Morottı, general manager, said "makes fibers totally resistant to water and bad weather." Water Shield and Ten Stars Yarn is the intellectual property and proprietary technology of Enzo degli Angiuoni. "Water Shield forms a solid barrier against water, dampness, rain and bad weather, preserving the beauty of the fabric in any weather or environmental conditions, even the most extreme," said Morottı.

The fabrics in this collection are available in Italian style textures and colors in chenilles and other yarns with "groundbreaking technical characteristics," Morottı said. "Fabrics in the Green Outdoor Collection are tested to be washable at 40 degrees centigrade and 100 percent recyclable."

Morottı said other features include excellent light fastness, outstanding mechanical performance on the Martindale and Pilling tests; totally non-toxic, hypoallergenic and anti dust mite; fungus, mold and bacteria proof; UV ray resistant; and resistant to common stains like coffee, chocolate, oil and sunscreen.
