Designtex Announces Promotions

NEW YORK, New York – Textile, wallcovering and surface solution manufacturer, Designtex, has announced three promotions in its design department as the company continues to align its focus with customer needs, according to Thomas Hamilton, President and CEO.

"For the past six months we've deeply evaluated our markets, customers and Designtex," said Hamilton. "These activities have resulted in a number of changes designed to make us a stronger company to achieve future successes and growth."

To achieve his goals of further success and efficiency, Hamilton created three new focused responsibilities. Kimberle Frost, who has worked with Designtex for the past 15 years, has been named Vice President of Design. Frost's inspirations for her dozens of collections that she has created range from vintage jewelry to Japanese kimonos to antique woodblocks.

Rich Morrow, who joined the company in 2003, has been promoted to Director of Unique Solutions. He will be responsible for the design, sourcing and satisfaction responsibility of all custom textiles and walls. "Rich has excellent supplier relationships, the ability to 'understand the need' and drive the result," said Hamilton.

Finally, Caroline Vaughn has been named the Director of Marketing. She brings 18 years of marketing and merchandising experience in the residential market to the position. Vaughn will be primarily responsible for the promotion and marketing of Designtex products to the design community as well as building stronger brand awareness.

"I'm really excited," said Hamilton. "These changes and new positions give us high-level (industry-best talent) and dedicated focus at three of the most critical aspects of our business."
