DeSousa Joins Bru as Sales Manager

February 7, 2006

FALL RIVER, Massachusetts — Billy DeSousa has left his position as international sales operations manager of Quaker Fabrics Corp., a position he held for the past seven years, in order to join Bru Textiles as sales manager.

A principal of Bru, Gary Neiman, said DeSousa is in the process of making the move to Belgium.

Bru is a widely regarded converter of upholstery and decorative fabrics in Kontich, Belgium, with sales that reached almost USD $75 million in the last financial year, according to Neiman. Bru is a regular exhibitor at Decosit and is known for a wide variety of fabrics with deep color lines.

DeSousa has been employed by Quaker Fabrics since 1993. Since that time, he has traveled widely for the firm and was instrumental in opening new markets for Quaker in China and the Pacific Rim. He reported to Tom Muzekari, vice president of sales for Quaker.

DeSousa will report to Gary and Jason Neiman, the principals of Bru Textiles. It is understood that both principals will continue to be involved in managing the Bru sales effort with DeSousa. Ultimately, DeSousa is expected to grow into the sales manager position after a transition period.
