De Leo Textiles Announces New Vice President of Operations

FAIRFIELD, New Jersey - Ismail Arslan has been promoted to Vice President of Operations for De Leo Textiles, a large provider of mid to high-end furniture, jacquard chenilles, woven textural fabrics and velvets.

Arslan has been serving as De Leo's director of business development since 2002 and will still report to Craig De Leo, CEO/CFO along with Edward B. De Leo, President and founder. An Istanbul, Turkey native, Arslan have extensive experience in managing the company's logistics, its international sourcing and serving as a liaison between the company and its source mill partners which import fabric from several Turkish mills.

Ismails years of experience with De Leo have made him a valuable asset in the growth of our organization and we look forward to promising future growth as the new year approaches, said Craig De Leo.

Arslan is also involved with the Piedmont Triad Council for International Visitors as well as Bridge to Turkiye, a philanthropic organization of Turkish Americans that support children with educational opportunities. In addition, Arslan is a member of the Board of Directors of ITMA which both markets and produces the Showtime fabric show.

De Leo also announced that Cathy Smith, Director of Design and Merchandising, will expand her responsibilites to include the support of sales reps and customer care. The De Leo team in High Point, which includes Ismail and Cathy, will increase our responsiveness to customers and support our commitment to leading the industry in high-style design and quality fabrics, said De Leo.
