WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI. —Jack Eger, a 25 year sales veteran of Craftex Mills, has been named Vice president of Sales for Crypton Inc.  Most recently, Eger served as the director of sales for Victor Textiles Group.

Eger will be responsible for expanding Crypton’s footprint in the residential space by developing partnerships with residential furniture manufacturers and jobbers. After serving as a commercial powerhouse over the past decade, Crypton is in the initial stages of penetrating the residential furniture industry.

“By the end of 2011, when we looked at where business was going for Crypton, it was amazing to us that almost 30% of our business was going to the consumer—bedding, retail fabric sales, and more,” said Randy Rubin, co-founder of Crypton.  “These products represented a tremendous opportunity, so it was imperative to find someone to really focus on the residential side of our company. Jack began as a consultant but quickly was invited to join our company full time.”

Eger will continue managing Crypton's existing contract business. Crypton will be extending its technology capabilities with an addition to its research facilities this fall and are excited for technology breakthroughs in its fabric treatments.
