Creation Baumann Launches Versatile Fabric Collection Essenza

January 5, 2010

LANGENTHAL, Switzerland - Creation Baumann has announced the launch of its new Essenza collection from the Living Line which can be used in healthcare, corporate or hospitality applications due to its variety in both material and design.

Essenza is a play on the true ''essence'' of things, marked by a subdued elegance in 19 patterns featuring everything from subtle florals and mohair velour to diaphanous curtain sheers and filigree embroideries as metallic lace. The collection of fabrics can be used for upholstery, curtains, and wallcoverings.

The company was originally named Brand & Baumann, founded in 1886 by Friedrich Baumann and Albert Brand as producers of linen and semi-linen. At the turn of the 20th century, Baumann and Brand went their separate ways with Baumann founding his own linen-producing company Baumann-Grutter. 120 years later, the fourth generation of the family is still running the business with Philippe Baumann at the helm as general manager and Jorg Baumann serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
