Cone Decorative-John Wolfe Hires Veterans Cross and Irwin

June Cross, a veteran of 20-plus years in the industry, has joined Cone Decorative Fabrics-John Wolf/Cone Jacquards in the new position of director of merchandising.

In her new position, Cross will be responsible for the creative direction of both Cone Jacquards and John Wolf. ''We will be merchandising both woven and print lines for more cohesive presentation,'' said Cross. ''We'll be getting the lines focused so that they'll work together and support each other.''

Cross brings to the position 17 years of experience as senior merchandise manager for upholstery fabrics and Softgoods at Ethan Allen, Inc., and eight years as president of Crosslines, Ltd., a marketing and design firm.

Lydia Irwin has also joined the company as design director. Irwin will work in the area of printed fabrics. ''My goal is to come out with a line that marries well with our wovens,'' she said. ''It has to cover everybody's needs from furniture, retail, jobber, outdoor, contract and manufacturing.'' She will work closely with director of product development Mike Garner to create cohesive lines of printeds and wovens.

Irwin has worked as design director at Bloomcraft, Inc. and brings 20-plus years of experience to the position.
