Clarence House Names Harry Cushing President

May 21, 2004

NEW YORK—Harry Cushing has been named president of Clarence House, the high end decorative fabric division of P. Kaufmann effective June 1.

He reports to P. Kaufmann president Ron Kaufmann. Cushing is also a member of the management committee which guides the overall development of Clarence House.

Cushing fills the post of president, which has been vacant for 15 months since the untimely passing of Robin Roberts, founder and previous CEO and creative director of Clarence House.

Clarence House was a $25 million business when it was acquired by P. Kaufmann in May 2003.

It was Roberts's fondest hope that P. Kaufmann would bring his firm to the next business level through "its extraordinary vision, business skills and integrity," he said. Roberts was a longtime friend of Peter Kaufmann, who passed away this past year.
