Brentano Touts Award-winning New Collection

August 10, 2009

WHEELING, Illinois - Brentano's fall 2009 Haven Collection snatched two coveted awards prior to its market release at the 13th annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition.

The illustrious contest honors the products that most successfully straddle innovation, beauty, and functionality. This year both of Brentano's pattern entries â"€De-Vine and Rendezvousâ"€ won their respective category.

Rendezvous took the award for drapery, bedspread, or casement fabrics and comes in three sigh-inducing hues named after far-flung destinations: a creamy Roman Holiday, Paris After Dark in steel grey, and California Dreamin' in chocolate brown. The fabric not only has a sheen but a depth, created by the scale-like cuts running horizontally.

De-Vine, a double-embroidered faux leather, won for upholstery entrants and is inspired by five bold blossoms in colors like Honeysuckle and English Rose.
