Brenna Leaves MCA

July 8, 2004

MILAN, Italy – Angelo Brenna has ended his brief relationship with MCA Emmecia of Milan, Italy after only two months in the saddle.

Brenna had been recently named international sales manager of the 34-year-old mid-to-high-end converting company here. He was responsible for sales in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The veteran fabric exporter joined the company May 1, was present at the MCA exhibtion during Proposte but decided to leave as of July 7 over differences of understanding, he said.

MCA Export Manager Christophe Jung previously said the firm ''hired Brenna to fast forward its penetration...in the NAFTA countries.'' MCA plans to open a NY office this year, and has already stationed Brenna in the NY metro area. Jung could not be reached for further comment in the wake of Brenna's departure.

MCA Emmecia sells high-end faux leathers - hippo, ostrich, alligator and others - to U.S. wholesalers. The firm has four U.S. sales agents.
