Almond Joins Hooker’s Collected Living

HICKORY, NC — Christy Almond, a textiles industry veteran with 26 years’ experience was named Vice President of Collected Living at Hooker Furnishings Corp. in June.
Collected Living which made its debut in January 2025, represents Hooker’s coordinated approach to all its home furnishings lines including casegoods, upholstery, lamps, decor and accessories. Almond is responsible for the integration and design coordination of this effort which covers all divisions of Hooker.
She was previously Vice President, Customer Solutions at Swavelle Group, a post she held for 15 months.
Prior to joining Swavelle, she was Vice President, Product Development for Valdese Weavers for over nine years.
Almond has an MA Degree in Design, Prints, Jacquard and Product Design from Philadelphia University.
