Vescom Group Acquires Leo Schellens BV

Deurne, Holland – The Vescom Group has acquired Schellens from Gamma Holdings. Schellens, which is located in Eindhoven, Holland, manufactures woven velour upholstery fabrics and specializes in projects for the residential market and the international contract market. In 2000 Schellens realized a total turnover of EUR 12.4 million.

The sale is part of Gamma's continuing divestment of its interior decoration products sector. In the last year, Gamma has sold off Texoprint and Sanderson.

Léo Schellens employs approximately 60 people. According to a Vescom press release, these employees will not be affected.

Vescom Group is comprised of eight partner companies located throughout Europe and North America. The companies specialize in the development, manufacture and delivery of high-end interior products including wallcoverings, interior fabrics, uphostery and floor covering. Vescom Group's collections meet the functional standards for placement in offices, hotels, shopping malls, hosptials, airports, private residences and transportation vehicles. According to a company press release, the group employs 450 people and has a turnover of 175 million NLG.
