Vescom Adds Redaelli Velvets to Portfolio

Helmond, Holland—Vescom has followed up its purchase of Raymakers velvet with the acquisition of the Redaelli Velvet brand of Italy including the design library and customer base for an undisclosed price.

“We bought Redaelli and its portfolio. So Redaelli is now part of Vescom Velvets. We will add this Redaelli volume to our current (former Raymakers) velvets portfolio.,” says Frank van Werkum, Direcor of Vescom. "All will be produced in The Netherlands where we invest in looms and finishing equipment to absorb this volume. Everything will be ready in August.”

“Helmond headquarters will be the new center for velvet including mohair, mohair silk, cotton and POL FR velvets. We will be weaving, dyeing and finishing all velvet products in one City: Helmond. With these investments, economy of scale, craftsmanship for decades, all in- house production and dedication for velvets this offers great new opportunities for existing and new customers,” he says.

“We offer a wide range of price levels, depending on the design, van Werkum says. “The new collection includes options for both new and existing customers. We now have more qualities to offer across all price categories.”

“Thanks to our low minimum order quantities (MOQs), we can support our customers in their asset-light strategies—maintaining low inventory while achieving high turnover. In other words, they can introduce more items to the market without the need for large stock volumes.”

“The collection will include a full range: cotton, polyester FR, mohair, and mohair silk. These will be available for wholesale, the furniture industry, theaters, contract business, and high-end residential projects.”
