Ulusoy Fantasy Curtains

Ulusoy Tekstil A.S., in the Yenibosna district of Istanbul, is a three-year-old fantasy curtain producer, which exports most of its production. Ulusoy Commercial Investments Holding Inc., the parent company is 63 years old and made a $63 million investment in the textiles business just three years ago.
"We produce organzas and special effects in voiles and curtain fabrics in printed, coated and creased effects. The 45,000 square meter plant is the region of Tekirdag near Cerkezkšy. We target the top three to four companies in each export market," said Pinar Ulusoy, assistant general manager. Eda Sicimoglu handles the export business.
Ulusoy now sells to 37 countries. "We're definitely the new kids on the block," said Ulusoy. "The average age of employee in this company is very young. We have young ideas, which the customer likes. We weave, dye and embroider our products in a very unique way. We're part of a group of 23 companies which supports our every move."
Ulusoy introduces an average of 200 items a year at Heimtextil in Frankfurt. The design library features 900 different embroideries designs produced on 22 machines. It also has 600 styles of voiles available.
