Two Major Executives Leave Birla Group, American Silk Mills’ Parent Company

Mumbai, India— Updeep Singh and Oscar Reig-Plaza have left Birla Group, F&FI has learned.
Birla Group was not available for comment.
Singh was the CEO for Sutlej Textiles, the yarn branch of Birla Group.
Reig-Plaza was the business head of Sutlej Home Home Textiles and CEO of American Silk. Reig-Plaza reported to Singh. The fabric business was under the yarn business corporately.
Singh’s next move is not known, but Reig-Plaza confirmed he has joined Mayafab, a China-based mill, as Vice President, Sales reporting to the owner, Justin Shen.
