Tissat Interior Fabrics No Longer Manufacturer of Upholstery Fabrics
January 22, 2013
Beselare, BE -- Tissat Deslee Fabrics has decided to cease the production of Upholstery Fabrics due to market conditions.
The company was created as a result of the merger of the Interior Fabrics Division of DesleeClama Group (Beselare – Belgium), Tissat International (Oostrozebeke – Belgium) and Versari (Wakken – Belgium). The three companies merged their production and sales of curtain and upholstery fabrics in early 2011. Tissat Interior will now focus solely on the market of curtain fabrics.
The effects of this decision on employment will be kept as limited as possible. The production workers will be kept on board for the production in the Curtain department, which will employ a total of 31 people.
Beaulieu Fabrics will acquire the designs and part of the yarn inventory related to the Upholstery division according to Koen De Ruyck, General Manager Tissat Deslee Fabrics.
