Textile Terminology Decoded with TalkTextiles.com
July 15, 2009
HIGH POINT, North Carolina – Textile experts are creating an online glossary of textile terms, TalkTextiles.com, to provide information for consumers, retailers, manufacturers, designers and others in the industry who need reliable and accessible definitions for textile terminology.
The glossary "will include definitions approved by industry participants, appropriate photographic examples, and possible videos. The site for the glossary might also provide links to other sites with additional related information about textiles in other industries or other uses of textiles in the home furnishings industry," said Jim Calhoun, project director for Miles Talbott Upholstery and initiator of the website.
An introductory Web page for the site was launched during June at the Showtime fabric show in High Point, North Carolina.
