Slough Named Weave LLC President & CEO

January 24, 2013

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Robin Slough has added the title of President & CEO of Weave Fabrics LLC in addition to her position as President &  CEO of American Silk Mills, Inc., reporting to John Sullivan, chairman of both companies.

Slough was named president of American Silk Mills in May, 2008. Prior to that, she was vice president of sales and marketing for that company.
American Silk Mills is one of the oldest mills in America and traces its roots to a mill that was founded in 1838.  Weave Textiles LLC was acquired by John Sullivan and an investor group February, 2010.

In 2012, Weave production equipment was moved from leased facilities in Denver, PA. to an expanded and updated American Silk owned factory in Plains, PA. The 15,000 square foot Plains plant expansion was needed to accommodate the Weave jacquard looms.

Weave and American Silk serve the same customers with both brands but the handwriting and production are different from each other. At the time of the move, Sullivan said the cost structure was too high to continue to produce Weave product in a different plant.
