Almere, Holland–Silvera NL will go live tomorrow (Thursday, January 8) with its new digital platform, Silvera Design Center.”
“The purpose of the SDC is to service the Design Community and private customers with an easy way to order memo Samples from Silvera Collections and Brands,” says Dennis Silbernberg, principal of Silvera, a Dutch fabric wholesaler/showroom here.
“The SDC concept is geared to the future where we are adapting to the needs of our new digital environment, combining “old school” sampling service with state of the art techniques,” he explains.
The website will be visible through www.sdc.contact
“The concept is to create an easy search for the designer who is researching materials, and then ordering them online. This happens at SDC without going through a large website with too much information not geared to the design purpose.”
Silbernberg says that SDC will do the following:
“Make it Easy to find fabrics from Silvera and related brands; See immediately a digital image of the fabric, a projection on a curtain, pillow and sofa, so customers immediately have an idea of what the fabric looks like applied on a finished product.
The fabric selection can be moved to a mood board.
The selection can be ordered as a memo sample.
The digital selection can be shared with somebody else, partner or client.
For professional designers vectors of the fabrics can be downloaded to be applied in 3D and rendering programs.
“This service is the first year (2026) free of charge to Silvera partners that have achieved a minimum turnover in 2025,” he says.
“Partners however need to order their memo samples through the SDC site as well as applying a dealer coupon/code. Private people can order the samples as well, but need to pay per memo sample.”
“The investment made by the final customer will be refunded by our dealers, when goods actually get ordered,” he adds.
“Private consumers have to immediately identify a dealership of their preference; at this point, the dealership gets an automated message that a private person has ordered the samples so they can follow up on the sales lead.”
