Scoperta to Expand in 2001

November 15, 2000

Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (UK) – The Trade Link Company, organizer of the annual Scoperta show, said that it has solidified plans to expand Scoperta in 2001 to satisfy increased demand for exhibition space.

According to Scoperta show manager Kristina Lucas, the Mendrisio, Switzerland-based expo plans to erect a temporary structure of approximately 1,000 square meters. Last year, Scoperta drew 62 exhibitors from 11 countries.

"It will be right next to the registration facilities," Lucas said. "It will be prime space. With the amount of re-bookings we had, there was no room to accommodate our new enquiries."

Trade Link, which also organizes the annual TIP exhibition in Brussels, planned to meet with Scoperta exhibitors in Kortrijk, Belgium to discuss the expansion, according to Lucas. "All TIP exhibitors are used to [exhibiting in] a temporary structure and they love it, but anyone who is a Scoperta exhibitor would be unfamiliar with it. They're used to working in a fixed structure.

"It will be an opportunity for any past exhibitors who have rebooked to move to the new space," she said. "We have to give them the right of first refusal."

Scoperta is scheduled to be held from 1-4 May, 2001.
