Mastercraft International Creates New Sales Team

High Point, NC (USA) —The international sales and marketing effort for all Mastercraft, Main Street and Joan Fabrics companies has been consolidated under the Mastercraft International umbrella, said Peter Thompson, vice president, international sales, Mastercraft International.

The consolidation includes Doblin, Home Fabrics, Joan Fabrics, Main Street Textiles and Mastercraft Fabrics.

Other changes include Maria Kremer Garber's departure, who previously handled international sales for Main Street and Doblin. She has left Main Street after two years reporting to Penney Richards, president.

Dave Cummings previously of Grafton Everest in South Africa has moved to High Point to join Mastercraft International handling export sales for the Far East, Australia and New Zealand, Middle East and Africa.

Mauricio Marchand has been hired for sales of the Mastercraft International line covering Mexico and Latin America. Marchand is the son of the owner of Tapistel, Mastercraft's distributor for many years based in Monterey, Mexico.

Erik Rasmussen, who joined Mastercraft in January, 2000 will be handling Europe. He and Cummings will both be international sales directors.

Rasmussen was previously with Woodmark Furniture followed by Phillips and Culp.
