Marco Guggi Leaves Imatex

BRIANZA, Italy—Marco Guggi, the Export Manager of Imatex has left the company October 31.
His departure was confirmed by Marco Fumagalli one of the partners of this 50 year old family owned mill. Guggi’s future plans are not known at this time. As Imatex export manager for 16 years, Guggi was considered the international face of the company.
In a separate development, Guilia Fumagalli, a daughter of one of the three founders of Imatex, is now taking a more active role in the business with Marco Fumagalli.
Guggi’s departure follows the loss of Pietro Bertarini, previously General Manager of Imatex for 30 years. Bertarini left about one month ago to pursue other opportunities.
Imatex is one of the largest jacquard mills in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe with sales over $50 million.
