Kvadrat Buys Sahco Hesslein

EBELTOFT, DENMARK—Kvadrat has acquired Sahco Hesslein out of bankruptcy from the German Bankruptcy Court in Nuremberg as of May 1. Sahco Hesslein is a German editeur with 80 employees based in Nuremberg, filed for insolvency as of February 8. Kvadrat, a designer and wholesaler of contemporary styled highend textiles for commercial and residential applications has been in business at the same location in Ebeltoft, Denmark since 1968. Anders Byriel is CEO of Kvadrat and is a member of one of the two families which own Kvadrat. He could not be reached for comment as company is closed for the Easter holiday. Photo: Anders Byriel
