BETH PAGE, NY—"As part of its effort to be an interior designer’s One Resource, we are expanding and refreshing our brick-and-mortar locations nationally,” says Cary Kravet, CEO. The Kravet Inc. headquarters will also relocate from its current Bethpage facility to Woodbury, New York, with a brand-new Long Island showroom by year-end 2021.

This new home will be located in the same office park where Kravet’s move from Manhattan began nearly 60 years ago. The new 60,000 square foot facility for the 600 employees at 250 Crossways Park Drive will include a 10,000 square foot showroom, as well as twice the current space for its extensive design archives, Kravet says.

“The office will be equipped to meet the ever-changing workplace needs of this decade with measures in place to provide a safe and clean environment for employees and customers alike,” he says.

Kravet showrooms in Chicago and Denver also received a refresh this past year; combining all brands in one location in Chicago and adding The Shade Store in Denver. Kravet is also constructing a new Montreal showroom. All three locations also added Kravet’s ‘Workspace’ concept, described by Kravet as an easy shop on the go option for designers. “Workspace boasts advanced technology and a spacious work environment to streamline the customer experience,” Kravet says. “It is merchandised by color. The new self-service color library offers samples in nearly every color across all of Kravet Inc.’s brands.”

Along with new management appointments, Kravet Inc. is also advancing with new tech capabilities. “There is an advanced color search feature on Kravet.com to allow designers a more tailored search when scheming online, as well as enhanced personalized customer email communications to make working with Kravet even easier,” Kravet adds.

“The Kravet Inc. staff has made itself available to customers in any way they wish - in person, over the phone, or virtually on video,” he says. “Customers can schedule whichever type of appointment best suits their needs. We are also taking all necessary steps to ensure our showrooms are clean, safe, and accessible to our customers. This means regularly sanitizing all surfaces, providing masks and gloves when needed, and limiting the number of people in our showrooms at a time. We also cater to a designer’s specific need for private appointments if necessary.”

“As the needs of the interior design industry drastically changed during 2020, Kravet Inc. worked to find ways to not only meet those needs but anticipate the future of design with ingenuity,” Kravet says.

“We are committed to the interior design industry, as we have been for the past 100 years, regardless of outside circumstances. We are constantly evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of interior designers, so we were ready for the challenge to find new ways to access our customers and be a resource to them. We have learned so much over the past year.”
