KOJO, Welspun Collaboration Expects Global Availability, Faster Service, Eco-Friendliness

May 28, 2010

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- KOJO Worldwide and Welspun USA formed a joint venture that merges one of the world’s largest bed and bath linen manufacturers with a major player in design, product development, and soft goods manufacturing.  The joint venture described as a collaboration expects to offer customers linen and terry products manufactured by Welspun, and custom draperies and decorative bedding produced by Welspun and KOJO directly from Welspun’s four distribution centers in the US.

All brand products will be kept in stock and on site in the distribution centers in order to ensure shipping within 48 hours after an order has been approved, company executives said. The venture expects to manufacture and service 47 countries in North America, India, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. In an effort to establish its global presence, the new company can also afford to offer consistent pricing, product quality, and service.

The joint venture said it also offers a distinct eco advantage over other textile companies. Together, Welspun and KOJO executives will control everything from the growth of its cotton to product design, lab tests, manufacturing, forecasting, purchasing, and a delivery system that utilizes a global distribution network.
