JDI to Represent Texoprint in U.S. and Canada

August 2, 2000

Enschede, Holland — Texoprint B.V. has made an agreement with JDI Corp. to sell certain designs on an exclusive basis to the hospitality trade in the United States and and Canada.

In the process, Texoprint is "investigating the possibilities for a future cooperation" with JDI, said Paul de Jong, sales and marketing manger for Texoprint.

"A number of designs have been made available on an exclusive basis to JDI for selling on the hospitality market," de Jong added. JDI will sell the patterns under the Texoprint label

"This is the first time Texoprint has sold its lines under its own brand in the USA," said Jay Dash, president of JDI.

"When I owned David & Dash, Texoprint were the only prints I didn't convert myself. I consider Texoprint to be the best European print designs in the world," he said.

Texoprint has also been selling designs on an exclusive basis to International Textile Corp.; a New York-based distributor headed by Bernard Sunshine. "ITC continues to sell its own exclusive Texoprint designs for the furnishings trade in North America, as we have for 25 years," said Sunshine. These patterns are sold under the ITC label.

"We are not only selling designs on an exclusive basis to ITC, but also to other American customers," de Jong said.
