JAB Opens Emirates Showroom
December 12, 2000
Sharjah (UAE) – JAB has opened a 1,663-foot showroom in Sharjah, U.A.E. in order to benefit from the Middle East's burgeoning tourism industry.
"Due to the fact that tourism became an important revenue source in the Emirates, a lot of five-star hotels are under construction and planned for the near future," said Nader Oubari, JAB Middle East manager. "This makes us very interested to have a fair share of the market. Also, having the only JAB showroom in the Middle East gives our clients and partners the opportunity to visit our showroom, which is in their region instead of traveling to Europe," he said.
In addition to the JAB collection, the new showroom displays products from JAB daughter companies Stroheim & Romann (U.S.A.) and Chivasso (Holland). The complete line includes wall coverings, trimmings, carpets and rugs next to a diverse range of home fabrics.
"Our main activity is to assist designers in the field of projects of hotels and palaces, which is our main objective," said Oubari, a longtime player in the international home fabrics market, especially in the Middle East. F&FI
