Indian Handcrafts Fair Gains Exhibitors

NEW DELHI, India—The Indian Handcrafts Fair is held twice a year in New Delhi with over 800 exhibitors to its credit according to Rakesh Kumar, executive director of the Export Council for Handicrafts. "We organize a total of 21 shows a year throughout India covering handcrafts, jute, and carpet and home furnishings. Our shows are sourcing oriented. October 13-17 is the date of the 2,000 exhibitor show at the Indian Expo Mart with a focus on gifts, home furnishings, wall décor, floor coverings, and table top and garden items. About 35 percent of the exhibitors are involved with textiles."
