Index 2006 Expected to Increase 20 Percent

February 13, 2006

DUBAI, UAE – Organizers of Index, dmg world media Dubai Ltd., are projecting that the show will increase by 20 percent, due to additional floor space at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.

"Last year's show was the largest exhibition ever staged at Dubai's International Exhibition Center, covering a net total of 30,495 square meters," said Kim Willis, dmg's group exhibition director.

"Index completely filled all available space, reinforcing its position as the most prestigious and largest exhibition in the Middle East. However, due to space restrictions, we were unable to accommodate all the companies and national pavilions that wanted to take part. It's great news, both for us and our exhibitors, that additional space is available this year."

In 2005, 31,140 trade visitors attended the show, with exhibitors from 56 countries and 1,251 stands, representing 1,443 companies and 30 national and regional groups.

The 16th edition of Index will be held Nov. 7-11, 2006.
