Feege Named Valdese Executive VP Sales

Valdese, N.C. - Valdese Weavers has made a number of key appointments. Joe Feege has been named to the new position of executive vice president, sales. Feege's duties will include responsibility for all sales functions and direction of all sales representatives company wide, to all markets. Feege previously directed Valdese's efforts in the contract business. He has been with Valdese for the past ten years.
Laura Lambie has been appointed to the new position of senior vice president, product development and marketing. She will be responsible for all research and development,design, marketing, and merchandising company wide, to all markets.
''This will consolidate all of these activities under Lambie's direction,'' said Valdese president Michael Shelton. Previously, she was responsible for directing Valdese's residential fabric business. Feege and Lambie will report to Shelton. Richard Krapfel has been appointed senior vice president, furniture sales. His focus will be sales development in the residential furniture market.
''The residential furniture business is our largest market, and as such requires a renewed emphasis from a sales and marketing perspective.''
Krapfel will work with Bob Mathews, vice president, marketing to develop and execute our strategy and gain a greater share of this all important market. He will report to Joe Feege, Shelton said. Connie Plourde has been named director of marketing and sales, contract. She assumes responsibility for sales development along with her current marketing duties to the contract market.Plourde will report to Lambie, but will work directly with Feege on her sales responsibilities.
In an unrelated move, Cynthia Clark vice president,creative director left the company to pursue her own business ventures.
