Dabedan Acquires Roig Brand

BARCELONA, SPAIN—Dabedan, founded in 1984 as a specialist in flame retardant fabrics purchased Roig, an 80-year-old Spanish company from Oriol Roig last March.
Oriol is now the sales manager for Dabedan and Roig is the brand produced by Dabedan.
The two companies totaling 33 employees, combined production in Sabadell last March and Heimtextil was their first exhibitio0n as one company.
The Roig brand offers velvets in the 20Euro-27Euro range from 380 grams to 600 grams per square meter says Oriol Roig. “Our products are used in theatre curtains and upholstery as well as wall coverings,” he says. “We sell to all of Europe, Russia, Japan, China—a total of 40 countries.”
Dabedan produces curtain fabrics and blackout, sheers, and multipurpose fabrics.
