Crew Joins Cortman Textiles

Preston, UK- Matthew Crew, 61, has joined Cortman Textiles Ltd. as Chief Executive Officer after a 43-year career in the decorative fabrics industry.
He reports to Cortman’s owner, Peter Onslow, 81, Managing Director.
“I am looking forward to working with him and conquering the market,” Crew says.
Cortman has been a technical fabrics producer and coater for over 50 years. The Cortman fabric range covers nylon, polyester and some cotton blends. As a coater Cortman says it can supply PU, TPU, PVC, silicone and acrylic coated fabrics.
Crew was previously MD of Bill Beaumont Textiles for nearly five years and prior to that position, he had executive posts with several decorative fabric companies including Rufflette Ltd., Crowson Fabrics Ltd., in the UK, Whiteheads of South Africa and Tru Textiles, a decorative fabrics company he started from scratch as the sole owner.
As previously reported, Andrew Lewis has followed Crew as MD at Bill Beaumont.
